Nokhu Vans
THE NOKHU PROCESS

Designed in detail.
Built with purpose.

A thoughtful build starts long before the first piece is cut. We design and refine our vans in 3D, bringing the layout, cabinetry, and systems together before bringing them to life.

PRECISION STARTS WITH A PLAN

Build it on screen.
Refine it for real life.

A van is a small space with a lot to do. The bed, kitchen, storage, electrical components, and water system all need to work together—and still leave room to live comfortably.

Designing on the computer lets us study those relationships from every angle. We can refine dimensions, consider clearances, and work through how parts fit together before moving into the workshop. The result is a more deliberate build, with purpose behind the details you see and the ones you don’t.

FROM FIRST IDEAS TO OPEN ROADS

How a Nokhu van
takes shape.

  1. 01

Start with the way you travel.

Who’s coming along? What gear needs a home? How do you like to cook, sleep, and spend your days? Those questions help define the priorities for the layout, so the van is shaped around how it will be used.

  2. 02

    Design the space in 3D.

We develop the interior as a three-dimensional model, considering the cabinetry, bed, seating, and equipment as parts of one complete space. This makes it easier to understand the layout beyond a floor plan and see how each element relates to the next.

  3. 03

    Refine the details.

Storage, openings, component locations, and access all compete for space. We work through these relationships on the computer, refining the design before fabrication. A small adjustment here can make a meaningful difference in how the finished van feels and functions.

  4. 04

Turn the design into precision-cut parts.

Digital design carries through to CNC cutting. Computer-controlled machining helps translate the planned geometry into accurately shaped components, with consistent openings and repeatable details. It connects the intent of the model to the parts that come together in the workshop.

  5. 05

    Bring it together by hand.

Precision-cut components are one part of the process. Assembly, fitting, hardware, and finishes still call for hands-on care. We bring those pieces together with attention to alignment, feel, and the details that make the space comfortable to use.

  6. 06

    Get acquainted with your van.

The handoff is a chance to walk through the finished space and its systems. Understanding how your van works—and how to care for it—helps you head into your next chapter with confidence.

MORE THAN WHAT MEETS THE EYE

The thinking
behind the finish.

The model lets us look beneath the finished surfaces, too. Water storage, equipment, and cabinetry share the same limited footprint. Planning them together helps make room for both everyday comfort and the systems that support it.

These views from our design process show that thinking in progress: a complete interior broken down into the parts and relationships that make it work.

Precision is the starting point.
Living well is the goal.

All that planning comes back to a simple idea: a van that works naturally, so you can spend more time enjoying the journey.
